Join us for a personally-led session with a Halliday-rated, five-star winemaker and learn how he makes his wines. Discover what techniques he uses to increase flavour complexity and balance, from grape quality specifications to fermentation management regimes. Get involved in DOING seasonally-appropriate activities in the winery (from harvesting to crushing to fermenting to pressing). We'll break for lunch and there will be a wine Masterclass led by the winemaker himself at the end. Previous experience is NOT required and all training will be provided.
Gembrook (Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges - Victoria)
Single location - participants meet at the winery and do the activity on-site.
Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
The maximum group size is 15.
Start at 09h30 with coffee and introductions and finish by 4pm. There will be a break for lunch.
The event involves activities in the winery so an appropriate level of fitness is required. While young people (ages 15 to 17) interested in winemaking as a career are very welcome, they will need to be accompanied by a parent if they are under 18 and wish to participate in the wine masterclass.
This activity is not suitable for children.
Please come dressed appropriately for the weather on the day as this is partly an outdoor activity and is definitely ACTIVE. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting wine-splashed and wear boots or good walking shoes. You will be provided with any extra specialised equipment for the activities on the day.
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
