Experience the magical splendour; that is, Cradle Mountain. Discover the natural beauty of this World Heritage listed National Park. See amazing waterfalls, rainforest, glacial lakes and King Billy pine forests, thousands of years old. Travel through historical towns, past Australian Blue Gum and pine plantations. Visit Sheffield to view the stunning town murals. Browse the Cradle Mountain visitor centre before choosing from the spectacular walks, such as the Enchanted Forest to see the pencil pine, lush forest and a beautiful waterfall and Dove Lake, with spectacular views of Cradle Mountain. There is a great chance to see our famous native wild life such as wombats, potaroos and wallabies. Visit the Waldheim Chalet, the forest home of Austrian born pioneer, Gustav Weindorfer before returning to Launceston, stopping at Ashgrove Cheese Farm to sample some of Tassie's finest cheeses. Lunch is not provided but there are opportunities to purchase food and beverages during the tour. Fare includes National Park entrance fee.
