Overview
Yes there are penguins in the St Kilda area and 10% of the tour price goes to supporting them.
Despite being just 5 kilometers from Melbourne's CBD and in one of Australia's busiest tourist destinations, approximately 540 penguins have decided to call St Kilda their home.
Join us for a paddle behind the St Kilda breakwater. We will teach you basic stand up paddle surfing techniques and then take you on a journey to the home of the famous penguin colony.
Stand-up Paddle surfing is one of the fastest growing water sports in the world, and it's little wonder why. The low-impact sport encourages general fitness through strength and balance exercise, all while having fun in the water. Better yet, the leisurely sport requires no existing level of skill to be able to have a great time. With all action sports, it is important that you learn the correct technique from day one and Stand-Up Paddle Boarding is no different.
Our instructors and guides will have you paddling effectively in a short space of time, and ensure you leave us with adequate knowledge to paddle on your own. Our lessons and tours are conducted in a safe and nurturing environment and in a format that all family members can enjoy.

The session will last just over two hours.
Guidelines & Restrictions
No assumed knowledge! You just need to be able to swim.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding is best in light wind. We will not operate when wind is greater than 15 knots to ensure you have maximum enjoyment from your experience.
Spectators are welcome and can enjoy the entire experience from the comfort of the St Kilda pier.
