Overview
Salty Dog''s Half Day Turtle & Snorkel Tour is our most popular guided sea kayaking trip. It is designed to be appreciated by both experienced and novice paddlers alike - the emphasis is on fun & enjoyment, not hard work.
Departing from our base at Shute Harbour, we kayak over fringing coral reefs and explore nearby tropical islands. these turquoise waters and islands are home to an amazing diversity of bird & marine life including soaring eagles & giant sea turtles.
We stop off at one or two of the many beaches en-route allowing plenty of time for a swim & a snorkel.
Suitable For: Beginners to experienced paddlers ( Full instruction provided by qualified guides)
We Supply: Top quality double & single kayaks and accessories. snorkeling gear,stinger suits, dry bags, safety briefing and a guide\s plus a mid-morning cheese and fruit platter.
You Should Bring: Hat, sunscreen, footwear, (Tevas are ideal), water bottle, waterproof camera , swimsuit.
Pickup: Airlie Beach 8:30 AM Returns: 12:30PM (Courtesy Bus Available)

Usually 1 guide to 8 clients max.
Session Time
Paddling Time on the water is approx 2 1/2 hours plus 30 minutes snorkelling. Briefing and kayak fitting takes approx 20 minutes.
Guidelines & Restrictions
Must be 15 yrs or older and in reasonable health. You need to sign an indemnity which includes a medical declaration re: suitability for physical activity.
All staff are experienced / qualified sea kayaking guides.
Clients need to sign and indemnity / waiver of liability form prior to kayaking activity. Must also dislose any medical conditions which may have bearing on performance etc.

Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Cancellation Cover. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Cancellation Cover provider.
