Overview
Departs Thursdays:
Meet your Surf Camp Australia guide outside Sydney Central YHA/ Scubar, Sydney at 9:30am. Bus departs at 9:45am. Sit back and relax whilst we search the South Coast via the Grand Pacific Drive.
Continue down the coast to Surf Camp. Upon arrival at Surf Camp, you'll be greeted by our head surf instructor and the onsite staff. After receiving an overview of the camp, lunch will be served plus light refreshments.
After a relaxing break, our instructors will provide you with a wetsuit and + surf safety and general euipment information.
Lesson:
During your 2 hour lesson you'll receive a talk on tides and conditions, and how to identify the safest part of the beach to surf, Then we'll hit the water and assist you catching some waves.
After your lesson, you'll be given time to shower, pack and get ready for the journey back to Sydney.
Arrive in Sydney: at approximately 7pm. You'll be dropped off at the Scubar where it's “Party Time!”
Enjoy free beer and pizza with your new surf mates!
This package also includes wetsuit and surfboard hire.
Surfing is a lifelong pursuit. By starting off with the right advice and guidance from our instructors, you'll easily become addicted!

Departs from Sydney Thursdays mornings. Meet outside Scubar/Central YHA on the corner of Rawson Pl & Pitt St at 9:30am for 9:45am departure. Closest train station is Central Station. The south coast is truly a unique, pristine environment with sweeping cliffs offering spectacular lookouts, not to be missed. Our location for the surfing lesson is known as one of Australia's best learn to surf beaches.
Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Numbers
Maximum of 8 surfers per one instructor. The price quoted is per person. Our facilities can cater for large groups.
Session Time
This trip operates every Thursday, September - May. This camp includes: - 1 x 2 hour surf lesson - Search the coastal route from Sydney to the South Coast including the new Grand Pacific Drive - Visit specacular coastal lookouts - Party with free beer & pizza upon return to Sydney
Guidelines & Restrictions
All ages welcome. Anyone under 17 years must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
All surf instructors hold a current Level 1 Surf Coaching, Open Water Bronze Medallion or APPOLA Advanced Resuscitation Certificate, & Senior 1st Aid Certificates. You'll be required to sign an indemnity form prior to camp. This experience voucher is valid for 6 months from date of purchase.
