Glass House Mountains Trek

Sunshine Coast

Overview

The Glass House Mountains offer some spectacular walking tracks through open woodlands with panoramic lookouts and mountain summits. The walks range from easy to challenging grades.

On a guided trek we will present you with a challenging trek up Mt Tibrogargen which is a striking and imposing volcanic plug located within the Glass House Mountain range. Our expert trek leaders will make your journey to the summit fun and informative as we work at a pace to suit you. If required, we will set up ropes to ease your passage.

The views as we make our way to the top are simply breath taking. You will also experience the amazing elation when you stand on the summit overlooking the surrounding countryside - the buzz will stay with you for a lifetime! Highlights of this hike include volcanic peaks , mountain heath vegetation, open eucalypt woodland and stunning coastal views. If time allows and partisipant are willing we will also do some abseiling.

This summit would qualify as a class 5 track (This is as high as the Australian Bushwalking Grades go before you head into the climbing grades). They include steep tracks with irregular surface and loose stones. There will be considerable exposure to the elements and an average to good level of physical fitness is required.
