Overview
Family activities don't get better than this! A skateboard lesson for 5 (or more!) is a great way to get active and enjoy the outdoors together. 1.5 hours long and all equipment provided, this experience caters for scaredy-cat Mums to wild teenagers - it's about having an awesome time trying!
We'll get you skating with confidence or challenge you with new moves. The varying skill levels in the group will have the chance to either learn the basics - like how to stay on a board - or advance current skills with the latest street tricks. Get that 'forever young' feeling and earn instant cred with the kids!
Your family skateboarding experience begins with you all being fitted with knee, elbow, wrist pads and skate helmet - safety first!
Absolute novices are taken through understanding the equipment, where to place feet on the skateboard, how to push, stop, balance and turn. Those showing good confidence with beginner skills can be taught more advanced moves.
Intermediate students progress to more advanced tricks like the ollie and other street tricks. You may also want to try some of our other boards like our surf-style Carveboards, Pool Riders and Long Boards for an older-school style of skating.
Advanced students can learn more advanced tricks such as kick flips, heel flips and pop-shuvits. We will work with you and your goals to help you reach the next level in your skating and be the best you can be.

This experience takes place in Bondi, Maroubra Skate Park or Moore Park Netball Courts, Sydney (locations chosen dependant on the level of the student and availability).

Numbers
Price quoted is for up to 5 people, but up to 3 more can join at $35 each (payable on the day) - just let us know in advance. We can tailor the experience depending on skill (and bravery!) levels.
Session Time
This experience is available Monday-Sunday from 7am-5pm. Bookings should ideally be made at least 2 weeks in advance but some short notice bookings are possible. Your family skateboard experience is approximately 1.5 hours including padding up and drink breaks.
Guidelines & Restrictions
You must be at least 5 years of age and have a decent physical fitness level. We advise you not to skate with prior injuries such as an ankle sprain or a recent arm or wrist injury. We also emphasise that each participant should have their own drink for the lesson.
No experience is required - we cater to all ages and ability levels. Participants under 18 years of age must be signed in by a parent or guardian. Birthday parties also available. Please contact us to enquire.
Extra Info
This experience may be affected by the weather. If the lesson is cancelled it will be rescheduled for a later date. We will contact you on your mobile and do our best to give you as much notice as possible.
Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
