Byron Bay and Northern Rivers

Overview

Discover the ease and joy of surfing as we teach you the safest and most successful techniques for riding a wave for the first time. Your expert instructor will have you and a friend surfing waves all the way to the beach before the end of your private 3 hour lesson. All equipment you need is included.

Location

Byron Bay (Byron Bay and Northern Rivers - New South Wales)

We pick you up in Byron Bay and take you to one of a choice of locations that include Brunswick Heads, Lennox Head and Ballina. We return you to your pick up point.

Numbers

This is a private lesson - it's just you, a friend and your own instructor!

Session Time

3 hours in duration including about 20 minutes travel time to and from the beach, 20 minutes tuition on the sand and 2 hours of intensive instruction in the water.

Guidelines & Restrictions

No previous surfing experience is required, but participants need to be able to swim at least 50 metres. Bring: swimmers, towel, sunscreen and drinking water. Surfing is not a recommended activity for sufferers of epilepsy and heart conditions. We take people 6 to 60+ years with moderate fitness.

All participants will be asked to sign a waiver. Participants under the legal age will have to have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf. All instructors are qualified level 1 surf instructors and hold current senior first aid and Life Saving Club proficiency certificates.

It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.

Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
