Overview
Upon arrival at Gelatissimo, you are welcomed into the lounge area where you will be given a brief talk on the history of gelato making. We will explain what gelato is, the differences between gelato, sorbet and ice-cream and how to identify a great gelato.
You'll also be shown a video on gelato making starring one of our head gelato-makers!
You'll then move to the gelato making area in small groups where we will show you step-by-step how gelato is made in a commercial environment.
You'll be shown how to make sorbet and milk-based gelato, prepared on the spot. While the gelato is in the mixer, you'll have an opportunity to try as many of the flavours as you like!
The gelato only takes 10-20 minutes to prepare and then you'll get to taste the freshest gelato available - straight from the mixer! One of you will even be given the opportunity to extract the gelato yourself if you wish.
You'll also experience how to make the famous Gelatissimo bambino cone. By now, we guarantee that your gelato taste buds will be well satisfied!
The class ends with question time and an opportunity for you to purchase any of the gelato products that take your fancy on the day! You will also receive a surprise gift at the end of your gelato experience.

Numbers
We operate with a maximum of 15 people per workshop.
Session Time
The Gelato Workshops are run once a month on a Saturday. Please allow at least 1.5 hours for the workshop. We run one session time starting at 9.30am.
Guidelines & Restrictions
The workshop is suitable for almost everybody. You will be standing during the majority of the workshop, with the exception of the 15-20 minutes at the beginning. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
