Overview
Balmoral is Sydney Harbour's premiere beach and an ideal spot to catch the prevailing Northeasterly seabreezes. During your sailing course we will cover topics such as: Launching and landing, rigging your dinghy, how to sail across the wind, turning round, capsize drill and more! All equipment is provided including buoyancy aids, wetsuits. We have a change area with hot showers available. Course notes are available via email after the lesson.
Location
Sydney (Sydney - New South Wales)
Single Location - meet at Balmoral Sailing School and the activity will be conducted onsite.

Numbers
The sessions can be either in a group or one on one with the instructor depending on he number of bookings. A maximum of 6 people in a group with the instructor.
Session Time
Our Introduction to dinghy sailing courses runs for 2 hours on a Saturday and Sunday or during the week. Please book in at the office 15 minutes prior to your session start time to fill in a waiver form and get changed ready to go on the water.
Guidelines & Restrictions
Each participant needs to know how to swim. Please bring your swimmers, sunscreen and towel. We will supply all equipment, instruction, buoyancy aid, wetsuit (if required). We have a change area with hot showers.
On arrival you will be asked to fill in a waiver form - please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start to time to complete this. Keys and belongings can be left at your own risk in the school office. Spectators are welcome to watch from the beach.
Extra Info
After completing your waiver form at the office you will be introduced to your qualified instructor. After kitting you out with your buoyancy aid you will be shown how to rig your dinghy. Before hitting the water our instructors will go through the capsize recovery drill and an on shore demonstration of how to maneuver and sail. Then its straight out onto the water to practice your new found skills with our instructors keeping a wachful eye over you.
Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
