Overview
Ever wanted a bird's eye view of Melbourne? Experience the thrill of flight whilst hot air ballooning over Melbourne's stunning CBD. We meet 1 hour before first light, where you will have a chance to freshen up before you are driven to the launch site of your hot air ballooning experience.
You can help with the inflation or stand back and capture the moment on photo as the hot air balloon comes to life and takes shape. With the blast of a burner the hot air balloon rises into the light of morning, floating gently over the stunning landscapes of Melbourne.
Time seems to stand still as you are suspended between earth and sky. You will spend around one hour drifting over the city before returning to land all too soon.
After packing up the hot air balloon you are driven back to the absolute luxury of the Langham Hotel Melbourne to enjoy a superb 5 star gourmet champagne breakfast. You can relax and chat with your pilot as you enjoy your sumptuous breakfast.

Numbers
Between 10-30 people. Each balloon basket carries 10 people plus pilot.
Session Time
Duration of the experience, from time of arrival to breakfast, normally takes 4-5 hours.Generally your balloon ride will last for 1 hour (exact length depends on the wind direction and strength). Start times are 1 hour before sunrise (summer approx 4.00-4:30am,winter approx 6:00-7:00am).
Guidelines & Restrictions
The temperature in the balloon is the same as you will find on the ground. Dress in comfortable clothing for the season. Wear a warm jacket, flat/close toed waterproof shoes and warm socks and bring your camera/ video to capture the fantastic photo opportunities.
Our pilots are fully licensed Commercial Pilots with many years experience and we follow rigorously the rules and regulations of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
If your pilot decides at any time that the weather is not suitable for a great flight, then we don't fly. Safety first.

Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
