Overview

Day 1:Broome - Windjana Gorge Depart Broome at 07:00am and travel to the Derby Prison Tree for a short visit. We now leave the bitumen behind us as we enter the Gibb River Road, almost instantly we can feel the remoteness. A walk up Windjana Gorge this afternoon is sure to impress. (L/D)

Day 2: Windjana Gorge - Bells Gorge This morning we're off to Tunnel Creek, have your bathers and torches ready. This amazing tunnel cuts through the Napier Range. Afternoon off to Bells Gorge. Camping overnight Silent Grove.(B/L/D)Day 3:Bells Gorge - Mt Barnett Station Leaving Bells this morning. We travel through the beautiful scenery of King Leopold Ranges, on to Galvans Gorge. For those feeling like a walk, a visit to Manning Gorge this afternoon is recommended. Mt Barnett Station.(B/L/D)

Day 4:Mt Barnett Station - King Edward River Today we leave the Gibb River Road, and travel on Kalumburu Road to Mitchell Plateau, visiting Drysdale River Station. Our camp will be on the banks of the river, . Camping overnight King Edward River. (B/L/D)

Day 5:Mitchell Plateau and Falls We make full use of our 4WD capacity today, to take us to the Mitchell Plateau. Livistona palms abound in this rugged region. Experience an optional helicopter flight over these falls, you can see some of the remotest country in the world. While swimming and overlooking the cascading falls, take a moment out, realising just where you are on the map. Camping overnight Kind Edward River. (B/L/D)

Day 6:King Edward River - El Questro This morning we visit aboriginal paintings in the area, we must now depart our river camp and Mitchell Plateau and travel back down Kalumburu Road to rejoin Gibb River Road. Our journey takes us through the majestic Cockburn Ranges, have your cameras ready as we wind our way towards El Questro. Overnight at El Questro.(B/L/D)Day 7:El Questro - Kununurra Spend the morning enjoying a walk to stunning Emma Gorge. .(B/L)

This activity departs from Broome and travels the Gibb River Road including; Windjana, Bells & Manning Gorges, Tunnel Creek, Mitchell Plateau, El Questro, Kununurra

Guidelines & Restrictions

Not recommended for children. A luggage restriction of 15kg maximum applies to all tours. No hard suitcases, please pack essential items in small soft sports/duffle bags. An average to medium level of fitness is required

It is unlikely that a tour would be cancelled, however we reserve the right to cancel tours with less than 5 passengers if deemed necessary.

Bookings made within 30 days of departure are to be paid in full.

Cancellations are subject to a 10% penalty fee of total tour cost. A penalty fee of 50% of total tour cost will apply to cancellations made within 14 days of travel. No refund if cancelled within 5 days of departure, or in the event you fail to join the tour or leave it early.

Travel insurance is highly recommended on all tours. Alterations to the itinerary may be caused as a result of road conditions, flooding, mechanical defect/and or other reasons.

It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.

Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
