Driver Enhancement

Overview

The Defensive Driving Courses provide a combination of practical and interactive class sessions in actual on road safety skills. They are specially designed to educate drivers of the risks associated with driving, and skills needed to avoid accidents. The courses encourage proactive driving aimed at improving community road safety.

Participants must have a current licence to participate in our courses. The driving centre does not offer any learner driver training at this time.

For young drivers we recommend the DTEC 1 - Driver enhancement course. This full day course is done in the participants own vehicle and includes;

* Vision and spatial perception

* Emergency braking procedures

* Consequence of speed

* Threshold and ABS braking

* Stopping distance

* Reversing

* Hazard detection, perception

* Defensive driving techniques and management

* Skid causation

Located at Perth International Airport, WA.

Numbers

We operate with a maximum of 16 people on the day. You must hold a valid WA driver's license, either P-Plates or a full license. You must provide your own vehicle.

Session Time

The Driver Enhancement course is a full day course. Please allow 8 hours for this experience. All bookings are subject to availability.

Guidelines & Restrictions

The course goes for 8 hours; Arrival 7.30am - 7.45am for sign on at 8.00am and finishes at 4.30pm.

Please bring your own lunch and drinks on the day. You will be required to sign an indemnity form on the day prior to the activity. The price stated is based on the experience taking place in your own vehicle.

Booking Insurance

It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.

Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
